GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University softball team swept Rosemont College, 12-3 and 14-0. Both games were five innings because of the eight-run rule.
Right-hander
Lauren Shannon was the winning pitcher in the first contest. She (2-2) had five strikeouts in four innings and righty

Cali Kraemer totaled two doubles, four RBIs and two runs. First baseman
Mackenzie Short and center fielder
Rebecca Lombardo contributed with one hit and two RBIs apiece. Short crossed the plate twice.
Shortstop
Alexa Saccomanno added two hits, one RBI and one run. Designated player
Kelly Duffy and left fielder
Morgan Zane each chipped in with one RBI. Duffy also scored two runs.
For the Ravens, designated player/catcher Gillyan Dewbrew was three-for-three at the plate with a double, one RBI and one run. Third baseman Allison Goodman had a double and two RBIs.
Rosemont (2-7) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning. Rowan started its come back with two runs in the second. Kraemer had a RBI double and she scored on a ground out. The Profs recorded 10 runs in the third. Short walked with the bases loaded, scoring Duffy. Kraemer knocked in three runs with a double. Saccomanno doubled in a run and Lombardo followed with a RBI single. Duffy scored Lombardo with a bases loaded walk and Zane drove in a run with a single. Second baseman
Sonia Sharma scored on an error while Duffy came home on a fielder's choice.
Rowan (5-2-1) registered its second shutout on the season in the second game. Right-hander
Jesse DeDomenico (3-0) threw three innings for the win and only gave up two hits while striking out six batters. August was on the mound for the last two frames and did not allow a hit. She had three strikeouts.
The Profs totaled 16 hits. Third baseman
Korie Hague led the way with three hits (four at bats), a double, six RBIs and two runs. Duffy produced three hits, a double, one RBI and two runs. Zane registered two doubles, one RBI and three runs. Saccomanno had two hits and two RBIs. Shortstop
Steph Kantanas and center fielder
Jess Handzo each hit a triple and had one RBI and one run.
