WINTER HAVEN, FL – Senior Drew Ryback earned a complete-game victory and junior Ryan Mostrangeli drove in four runs as the 14th-ranked Rowan baseball team opened its Spring Break trip with a 12-2 win over Concordia-Chicago at the RussMatt Invitational.
 
Ryback (3-0) struck out four and scattered seven hits to record the win for Rowan (6-0). Mostrangeli was 2-for-4 with a home run, while Jason Bobiak went 1-for-2 with three runs scored and two RBI. Catcher Jared Marks had two RBI and Michael Manganella and Trip McCaffrey each scored two runs for the Profs.

McCaffrey got the Profs started in the four-run second inning with a double, followed by Bobiak reaching base on an error and Marks driving in McCaffrey with a squeeze bunt. Mostrangeli then cleared the bases with a three-run home run to give the Profs a 4-0 lead.
 
Concordia got on the board with one run in the top of the fourth, but Rowan countered with three more. Mostrangeli came through again, with an RBI double that scored Bobiak, and the leftfielder scored on a single from Ryan McIsaac. Nick Schooley upped the Profs' lead to 7-1 with a single that drove in McIsaac.
 
The Profs put together another four-run inning in the fifth after Mitch Walker led off with a double and scored on a single from Manganella. Bobiak delivered a two-run single to score McCaffrey, and Manganella and later crossed the plate on a wild pitch to give Rowan a 11-1 lead.
 
Concordia scored one more run in the seventh and final inning as did the Profs, when Marks drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in Manganella, who led off with a walk.
