It was a back and forth battle over the first three innings, as neither side could find a way to plate a run. The Gulls opened the scoring in the fourth inning on a Perkins RBI single to right center. The Brown and Gold fought back and evened the game at one in the sixth. Second baseman
Alex Kokos (jr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) reached second after slamming a double down the left field line. At the next at-bat, Woods singled up the middle and Kokos scored.
Rowan pulled ahead, 4-1 in the top of the eighth. Woods got things started when he reached first on an error and then advanced to second on a single from Harrold. DiDomenico blasted a doubled to right center and brought in Woods. The next two runs were scored on a Gulls' error.
Endicott put the pressure on in the bottom of the ninth, cutting the gap to two (4-2). With runners on first and second, the Rowan defense recorded back-to-back outs to hold on for the win.
