GLASSBORO, NJ - The Rowan University football team returns to action after a bye week when it visits 12th-ranked Wesley College on Saturday, October 5. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. in Scott D. Miller Stadium in Dover, DE. Rowan Radio (89.7 GLS) will broadcast the game.
Both teams are coming off bye weeks, with Rowan (0-3) having lost to Hobart, 20-17, and Wesley (3-0) defeating Endicott, 20-17, on Sept. 21.

GAME NOTES
The Series (Rowan leads 8-4) Â
Rowan leads the all-time series, 8-4, having edged Wesley, 28-27, last year at home. The Profs won the first seven meetings in the series which began in 1988, but Wesley put together a four-game winning streak up until last year. Wesley owns a 3-1 record in NJAC play as they joined the conference as an associate member in 2015.
About the Profs
Rowan fell to 0-3 with the heartbreaking 20-17 loss at Hobart on a field goal with 1:38 to play. The Profs had a bye last week and after this game, return home on October 12 to host Kean.
About Wesley
The Wolverines are 3-0 and like Rowan, are coming off a bye. Wesley won by a 20-17 margin at Endicott on Sept. 21, fighting back from a 17-point deficit and winning on a late field goal, which was the opposite fate for Rowan. Wesley PK Nick Bruhn tied the game with a field goal at 4:20, and then connected on a 27-yarder at :02 to win it.
For Openers
This marks the first NJAC game of the year for both teams. Rowan won the first two games of conference play last year en route to finishing with a 5-4 record in the NJAC.
Last Time vs. Wesley
Rowan scored twice in the third quarter to upset #8 Wesley, 28-27, in last year's meeting on "Homecoming" at Wackar Stadium (Oct. 20). With the Profs trailing, 27-14,
John Mannion scored on a 77-yard run. Rowan's
Nate Lanier intercepted a pass two possessions later which led to a 4-yard run by Mannion for the winning TD with 8:09 left in the third quarter.
Rowan vs. the Ranked
The Profs are 0-1 against ranked teams thus far, with a loss to previously 12th-ranked Linfield. Rowan's schedule is a challenging one with three opponents in the D3football.com Top 25 (Linfield, Wesley, Salisbury) and one receiving votes (Hobart). Rowan owns a 4-5 record against ranked teams in the last four seasons, with the last victory coming against #8 Wesley, 28-27, on October 20, 2018.
