GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University football team hosts Christopher Newport University on Saturday, Sept. 29 for another New Jersey Athletic Conference game (NJAC), with kickoff set at 6 p.m. 
 
The Profs suffered their first loss on the season last week, 34-7 against No. 6 Frostburg State University. The Captains dropped their first contest, falling to Montclair State University in overtime, 17-14. 
 
This will be the 10th meeting all-time between Rowan and Christopher Newport. The Profs hold a 7-2 series advantage over the Captains. 

This week, Rowan and Christopher Newport are participating in Coach To Cure MD Day. As part of this initiative by the American Football Coaches Association, both coaching staffs will wear a special arm patch to raise awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. This is the 11th year that coaches around the country will join together to raise funds and awareness for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Fans are encouraged to donate by texting "CURE" to 50555 or visiting CoachtoCureMD.org
