GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated New Jersey City University, 9-0 in a conference game on Saturday.
The Profs have a 9-1-1 record with a 4-0-1 mark in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Gothic Knights are 4-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
Seven different players scored for Rowan. Forward
Cathryn McCarry (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and forward/midfielder
Jessica Beck (fr. Glassboro, NJ/GCIT) each contributed with two goals. Forwards
Aidan Sheehan (so. Hamilton Square, NJ/Steinert),
Daria Jones (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) and
Lauren Wood (so. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) and midfielder
Jessica Logan (fr. Jobstown, NJ/Northern Burlington County Reg.) and
Dominique Marrone (so. Marlton, NJ/Bishop Eustace Prep) all hit the net one time.

Darah Wagner (jr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) and back
Grace Massell (fr. Red Bank, NJ/Middletown S.) had one assist apiece. Goalkeeper
Shelby Money (sr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) stopped three shots for her fifth shutout and it was the Profs' eighth overall. For NJCU, goalie Cidney Lee-Sam (fr. Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) made 13 saves. In the first half, she stopped a penalty kick at 32:25 after a tripping call in the box.
Next week, Rowan travels to Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday, Oct. 10 for a 7 p.m. game.
