Box Score FREDERICA, DE – The Rowan University field hockey team defeated Wesley College, 4-0 on Wednesday night.  The game was played at the DE Turf Sports Complex. 
 
Forward Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) started the scoring at 15:03.  She stole the ball and carried it halfway down the field.  Her shot hit the cage just inside the post.   Forward Bridget Boyle (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) knocked in a pass (23:05) from Galante for a 2-0 advantage.
 
In the second half, Boyle registered her second goal (40:41) and Galante had the assist.  Galante had a shot from the top of the circle with a pass from Boyle for the final tally at 43:26.  Rowan ended the game with 28 total shots while Wesley had six. 
 
The Profs have a 6-3 record while the Wolverines drop to 2-8 overall.  Goalies Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) and Morgan Novak (so. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) shared the shutout.  DeMarco stopped two shots in 49:45 and Novak had one save in 20:15.  For Wesley, goalie Sidney Knott (so. Morrisville, PA/Morrisville) made five stops (43:26) and goalie Lauren Berry (fr. Townsend, DE/Middletown) turned away three shots (26:34).
 
Next, Rowan hosts conference opponent Kean University on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m.
