Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, VA – The Rowan University women's soccer team blanked the University of Mary Washington, 3-0 on Sunday at the UMW Soccer Classic.
 
Forward Cathryn McCarry (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) produced the first goal at 23:26 and back Maddie Williscroft (jr. Linwood, NJ/Mainland Reg.) had the assist.  Midfielder/forward Lauren Wood (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) scored her first collegiate marker (69:51) in the second half.  Four minutes later, forward Melissa Kelly (sr. Pine Brook, NJ/DePaul Catholic) knocked a loose ball into the net.     
 
The Profs improve to 2-1-1 on the season while the Eagles are 3-2 overall.  Goalie Shelby Money (jr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) stopped three shots for her third shutout this season. Mary Washington goalkeeper Haley Randall (jr. Midlothian/James River) had one save.
 
Rowan is on the road again at Marymount University on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
