Field Hockey Shuts Out Ramapo, 8-0

Box Score MAHWAH, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team shut out conference opponent Ramapo College, 8-0 on Saturday. 
 
The Profs improve to 7-5 overall and 1-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  The Roadrunners drop to 5-8 on the season and 0-2 in the conference.
 
Rowan had goals from eight different players.  Midfielder/back Casey Wagner (so. Erial, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) started the scoring at 12:47 with an assist from back Skyler Pino (jr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City).  Forward Rachel Galante (jr. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) knocked in her rebound (15:42) for the second goal.  She has nine goals on the year.       
 
Back Dayna DeVincentz (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) hit the cage (18:51) on a pass by midfielder Julie Johnson (jr. Mount Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) from the top of the circle.  Midfielder/forward Jenni Panzarino (jr. New Providence, NJ/Old Bridge) scored her first goal of the season at 21:47 and Galante had the assist.  With 17 seconds remaining, forward Myranda Christy (jr. Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights) ended the first half scoring with an unassisted tally.
 
Midfielder/forward Megan Hilbert (sr. Pennsauken, NJ/Pennsauken) produced the sixth goal (55:49) and Wagner assisted.  Midfielder/back Dee Payne (fr. Clayton, NJ/Glassboro) scored at 66:33 with help from forward Nicole Zultowski (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield).  Forward Erika McNulty (so. Hamburg, NJ/Wallkill Valley Reg.) found the cage with six seconds left on the clock.  It was the first goal of the season for Panzarino, Hilbert, Payne and McNulty.      
 
Goalies Carly DeMarco (sr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) and Morgan Novak (so. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Mem.) shared the shutout.  Ramapo goalie Emily Wisneski (sr. Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) turned away 21 shots in 58:36.  Goalie Tracy Barhorst (fr. Wanaque, NJ/Lakeland) played 11:24 and had one save. 
 
Next, Rowan travels to Arcadia University on Wednesday, Oct 11 for a 7 p.m. game.
