Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The College of New Jersey women's soccer team edged Rowan University, 2-1 in overtime on Wednesday night. It was the final game of the regular season.
The Lions, ranked second in the nation, are undefeated with a 16-0 record. They finish 9-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) for the top seed in the conference tournament. The Profs are 12-2-2 overall with a 7-1-1 NJAC mark. Rowan is seeded second in the postseason. Both teams will receive a bye in the first round on Saturday, Oct. 28 then host a semifinal game on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Midfielder Kelly Carolan (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) scored the game-winner at 93:33. She played a ball that was sent through the middle by midfielder Jessica Goldman (sr. Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) and hit the left side of the net.

Cathryn McCarry (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) scored first (12:24) on a breakaway after a feed from forward
Melissa Kelly (sr. Pine Brook, NJ/DePaul Catholic). McCarry dribbled the ball around Lions' goalkeeper Nicole DiPasquale (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) and hit the open net. Midfielder Kayla Bertolino (sr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) had the tying goal a little over a minute later. She knocked in a rebounded shot just underneath the crossbar. Back Jen McGrogan (so. Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.) was credited with the assist.
DiPasquale ended the game with four saves. For the Profs, goalie
Shelby Money (jr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) stopped eight shots.
