Box Score EWING, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team dropped its New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) semifinal game at The College of New Jersey, 3-1 on Wednesday night.
The Profs were the fourth seed and finish the year with a 12-7 record. The top-seeded Lions (15-3) advance to the conference title game where they will host the second seed Montclair State University on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. The Red Hawks defeated #3 Kean University, 1-0 in the other semifinal.
TCNJ went into halftime with a 2-0 lead. Midfielder/forward Jaclyn Douglas (sr. Malvern, PA/Great Valley) scored the opening tally off a rebound at 12:28. Back Lexi Smith (sr. Florence, NJ/Florence Twp.) dribbled in off a penalty corner and hit the back of the cage at 27:40.

Rachel Galante (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Collingswood) put Rowan on the board with a penalty stroke with 29:57 left in the second half. Douglas added an insurance goal with 8:57 to go. Forward Elizabeth Morrison (jr. Stonington, CT/Stonington) had the assist.

Carly DeMarco (jr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made seven saves while goalkeeper Christina Fabiano (jr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) stopped four shots for the Lions.
