Box Score ST. DAVIDS, PA – The Eastern University field hockey team defeated Rowan University, 3-1 on Saturday. 
 
The score was tied at one after the first half.  Forward Danielle Frasca (sr. Runnemede, NJ/Camden Catholic) gave the Eagles the lead at 43:37 when she knocked a rebound into the cage.  Forward/midfielder Macey Talhelm (fr. Allentown, PA/Parkland) scored the final goal with 4:42 remaining. 
 
Eastern has a 5-1 record with a five game win streak and Rowan is 3-3 overall.  For the Eagles, goalie Nicole Berger (so. Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) made 13 saves.  Prof goalie Carly DeMarco (so. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) stopped 12 shots.
 
Forward/midfielder Alison Hoag (fr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) put Eastern ahead 1-0 at 7:37 with an assist from forward Lauren Gay (sr. York, PA/West York).  Forward Sam Browne (sr. West Milford, NJ/West Milford) scored the tying goal (28:44).
 
Next week, Rowan travels to Ursinus College on Wednesday, Sept. 23 for a 7 p.m. contest.
