Sam Browne scored three goals in a 7-1 victory for the Rowan University field hockey team over Eastern University on Saturday afternoon.

Johanna James (jr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) and midfielders

Marisa Marini (jr. Carneys Point, NJ/Padua Academy (DE)) produced one goal apiece.

Rowan (4-3) compiled 26 shots and Eastern (3-4) took eight. Profs' goalie
Carly DeMarco (fr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester City) made four saves in 61:28. Goalie Kim Pyhel (so. Chatham, NJ/Chatham) stopped one shot in 8:32. In the Eagles' cage, goalie Jennifer O'Neill (jr. Erial, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) turned away seven shots. Back Megan Bolton (jr. Souderton, PA/Christopher Dock) recorded three defender saves and back Alyssa Rowe (jr. Carlisle, PA/Carlisle) had one.
Browne's first goal came at 17:17 with a pass from Pressler on the right side of the cage. Conner tied the score at 21:33 when she tipped in a shot from outside the circle by Gay. Pressler put the Profs ahead 2-1 when she scored (37:58) with an assist from Campbell.
Henderson followed with a penalty stroke (43:36). Marini blasted a shot into the cage at 50:02 off a corner by Pressler. Browne had a goal 46 seconds later that was assisted by O'Sullivan. James knocked in a pass from Bucher at 57:42. Browne had her third and the final goal of the game (62:05) and Mecchella assisted.
