NEW YORK, NY – The Rowan University men's indoor track team traveled to the Armory for the Lafayette-Rider Winter Games on Friday.  The Profs competed in the college section of the meet.

Mike Carotenuto (sr. Port Monmouth, NJ/Middletown N.) won the 1000 meters with a time of 2:30.98 and Mike Lewis (jr. Downingtown, PA/Downingtown W.) followed second (2:36.12).  Glenn Kohles (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) was the winner in the shot put with a throw of 48' 10.75" (14.90 meters).  Jon Sewnig (jr. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) took second (8:43.90) in the 3000 meters.  Ali Ejaz (sr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) finished third (22.43) in the 200 meters and he tied for 10th (7.23) in the 60 meter dash.  Trevant McCloud (so. Lindenwold, NJ/Lindenwold) came in third (8.52) in the 60 meter hurdles.  

Mike Parrillo (so. Whippany, NJ/Whppany Park) had a seventh place (1:15.18) in the 500 meters.  Frank Rubino (so. Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) was seventh (21' 8", 6.60 meters) in the long jump.  The 4x400 meter relay with Charles Boon (fr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough), Parrillo, McCloud and Carotenuto, took eighth place in 3:32.48.   

Frank Visconti (sr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) was 11th (36' 8.5", 11.19 meters) in the weight throw and Dalton Trembow (so. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) had a 14th place (42' 6", 12.95 meters) in the shot put.  In the 5000 meters, Tim Dole (so. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.) finished 16th (16:05.01) and Rob Buzby (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) was 19th (16:08.76).  Mike Davies (jr. Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) finished 17th (4:36.92) in the one mile. 

Next weekend, Rowan competes at the Princeton University Invitational on Sunday, February 23 at 11 a.m.
