ResultsGLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's swim team won 149-107 over Swarthmore College on Saturday.
The Profs are 6-1 overall and the Garnet have a 1-2 record. Rowan took first place in the 200 medley (1:54.83) and 200 freestyle (1:41.12) relays. The medley relay included
Amanda Burke (fr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.),
Olivia Wojtowicz (jr. Centreville, MD/Queen Anne's County),
Rikki Berk (jr. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) and
Julie Sheehan (so. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Mem.).
Olivia Graham (jr. Montclair, NJ/Montclair), Sheehan,
Gigi Russo (sr. Rumson, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven Reg.) and
Victoria Grimsgaard (jr. Eatontown, NJ/Monmouth Reg.) made up the freestyle relay.
Wojtowicz was the winner in the 200 freestyle (2:03.24), 200 breaststroke (2:32.01) and 400 individual medley (IM) (4:53.90). Grimsgaard came in first in the 50 (24.70) and 100 (55.87) free. Graham had a first place (11:38.96) in the 1000 freestyle. Berk swam a winning time of 2:20.75 in the 200 butterfly. She was second (5:08.26) in the 400 IM and third (5:45.64) in the 500 freestyle.
Sheehan took second (5:45.08) in the 500 freestyle.
Sam Wahl (jr. Collingswood, NJ/Collingswood) had a second place (2:35.03) in the 200 breaststroke. In the 100 breaststroke,
Casey Sickler (sr. Northfield, NJ/Mainland Reg.) finished second (1:17.36) followed by Burke, third (1:19.07). Burke was also third (5:11.05) in the 400 IM. Russo came in second (1:04.65) in the 100 backstroke and third (1:08.36) in the 100 butterfly.
Nicole Vick (sr. Sewell, NJ/Clearview Reg.) was third (2:05.16) in the 200 freestyle while
Alyssa Schaefer (sr. Ringwood, NJ/DePaul Catholic) had a third place (2:28.80) in the 200 butterfly.
Julia DelNero (jr. Spring Lake Heights, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) finished third (57.77) in the 100 free.
Leanne Zaug (sr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) took third (2:32.07) in the 200 backstroke.
Next week, Rowan is home against Pace University on Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m.
