PRINCETON, NJ – The Rowan University men's indoor track team competed at the Tiger Open on Saturday. The meet was held at Princeton University.
Ali Ejaz (sr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro) came in second (22.82) in the 200 meters. Jon Sewnig (jr. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) finished second (8:52.55) in the 3000 meters. Trevant McCloud (so. Lindenwold, NJ/Lindenwold) took third in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.78. The 4x400 meter relay of Charles Boon (fr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough), Tyler Sheilds (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.), Mike Parrillo (so. Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) and Ejaz had a fifth place
in 3:28.51.
Mike Carotenuto (sr. Port Monmouth, NJ/Middletown N.) and Carlos Coronado (fr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) were fourth (8:58.88) and sixth (9:08.89) respectively in the 3000 meters. Ethan Wolmark (sr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) finished sixth (4:30.62) in the one mile run.
Glenn Kohles (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) was eighth in the shot put with a throw of 40' 7.75" (12.39 meters). Frank Rubino (so. Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) had an eighth place (23.63) in the 200 meters.
In the 400 meters, Boon and Evan Fry (fr. Stewartsville, NJ/Phillipsburg) were 11th (52.88) and 12th (53.33) respectively. Tyler Coulbourn (so. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) tied for 12th (7.33) in the 60 meters and Brendan Dugan (so. Westfield, NJ/Westfield) tied for 14th (7.34).
Next weekend, Rowan travels to East Stroudsburg University on Sunday, February 2 for the DeSchriver Invitational at 10 a.m.
