Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team won 3-0 over conference opponent Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday evening. It was the Profs' seventh shutout.
Rowan is 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. This week, the Profs are ranked seventh in the South Atlantic Region. The Scarlet Raptors are 3-4-1 on the season with a 1-1 conference record.
Forward Sherry Oller (so. Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) started the scoring at 31:48. She knocked in a shot by forward Erika Suhl (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.), which went into the right side of the Rutgers-Camden net. At 57:02, back/midfielder Victoria Camera (jr. Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton W.) headed in a corner kick by forward Dayna Sakalsky (sr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central). Sakalsky had the final goal at 83:01 with a shot just inside the box.
Rowan ended the game with 21 shots and Rutgers-Camden had four. Goalie Carleigh Trivino (fr. Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) made two saves for her fourth solo shutout. For the Scarlet Raptors, Lauren West (sr. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.) turned away eight shots.
The Profs continue their conference schedule on Saturday, September 28 at New Jersey City University at 1 p.m.
