GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s soccer team shut out SUNY Purchase, 5-0 on Saturday evening. 
 
It was the second day of the Profs’ tournament.  Prior, Lasell College blanked Alfred University, 7-0.  On Friday, Rowan won 6-0 against Alfred while Lasell had a 10-1 victory over SUNY Purchase. 
 
Rowan was ahead 1-0 at the half.  Forward Tiffany Kelly (so. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) scored at 13:47 with an assist from back Kayla Leahey (jr. Keansburg, NJ/Warwick Valley (NY)).  In the second period, forward Erika Suhl (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.), midfielder Lisa Cella (fr. Middletown, NJ/Middletown N.), back Allison Barker (jr. Croydon, PA/Conwell-Egan Catholic) and Leahey all hit the net in a span of 12:12. 
 
The Profs produced 35 shots while the Panthers only had two.  Goalkeepers Carleigh Trivino (fr. Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell), Jamie Cheeka (fr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) and Meagan Schaefer (fr. Audubon, NJAudubon) shared the shutout.  For Purchase, goalie Amanda Green made four saves in 16:05 minutes and Jess Lindsay turnaway nine shots in 73:55 minutes.
