SPRINGFIELD, MA – The Rowan University men’s track and field team competed on the first day of the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships on Thursday.  The championships continue on Friday at Springfield College.

The 4x400 meter relay took fourth place with a time of 3:18.13.  The relay included Brandon Taylor (sr. Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown), Taylor Purdue (sr. Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Twp.), Demetrius Rooks (sr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) and Mike Parrillo (fr. Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park).

Jon Sewnig (so. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) came in eighth (15:17.59) in the 5,000 meters.  Taylor finished 19th (11.03) in the 100 meter trials.
