SWARTHMORE, PA – The Rowan University men’s track and field team competed at the Swarthmore College Last Chance Qualifier on Monday night.

Demetrius Rooks (sr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) took second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.70.  Tyler Coulbourn (fr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) finished fifth (11.29) in the 100 meters.  Joe Mineo (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington wp.) had a fifth place in the high jump with a height of 6’ (1.83 meters).   

Darrell Corbin (so. Logan Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) took sixth (47’ 11.25”, 14.61 meters) in the shot put.  He was also 10th (122’ 5.25”, 37.31 meters) in the discus.  Brandon Taylor (sr. Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) came in 11th (11.44) in the 100 meters while Will Alston (sr. Matawan, NJ/Matawan Reg.) was 11th (23.12) in the 200 meters.  Alston also finished 15th (51.72) in the 400 meters.  Mike Parillo (fr. Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) came in 13th (58.20) in the 400 meter hurdles.
