WEST CHESTER, PA – The Rowan University men’s track and field team competed at the West Chester University Collegiate Invitational on Saturday.
The 4x100 meter relay ran a winning time of 42.30 with Marcus Rawls (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/Florence Twp. Mem.), Tyler Coulbourn (fr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.), Frank Rubino (fr. Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) and Ali Ejaz (sr. Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro). Ejaz won the 100 meters (10.82), Rawls took second (11.02) and Coulbourn was third (11.11). Coulbourn also had a seventh place (23.11) in the 200 meters. Jon Sewnig (so. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) took second (15:21.43) in the 5000 meters. Joe Mineo (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) had a height of 6’ 2.75” (1.90 meters) in the high jump for second.
Glenn Kohles (fr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) finished second (46’ 0.5”, 14.03 meters) in the shot put and was fifth (139’ 10”, 42.63 meters) in the discus. Josh McGriff (sr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) took third (22.91) in the 200 meters and eighth (11.41) in the 100 meters. Dave Quimby (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) had a second place (4:09.81) in the 1500 meters and was third (2:00.88) in the 800 meters. Mike Parrillo (fr. Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) came in fourth (56.55) in the 400 meter hurdles. The 4x400 meter relay of Will Alston (sr. Matawan, NJ/Matawan Reg.), Brendan Dugan (fr. Westfield, NJ/Westfield), Quimby and Parrillo finished fourth in 3:29.14.
Darrell Corbin (so. Logan Twp., NJ/Kingsway Reg.) had a fourth place (43’ 8”, 13.31 meters) in the shot put. In the 5000 meters, Ethan Wolmark (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) finished fourth (15:39.57) followed by Jeff Tauriello (jr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park), fifth (15:54.93), Tim Dole (fr. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.), sixth (16:00.68) and Rob Buzby (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee), seventh (16:15.72). Alston had a sixth place (51.75) in the 400 meters and was 10th (23.40) in the 200 meters.
Steven Iafrate (jr. Closter, NJ/Demarest) and Joe Kelly (fr. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) were fourth (159’ 11”, 48.75 meters) and fifth (155’ 10”, 47.49 meters) respectively in the javelin. Jesse Spector (so. Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) came in fourth (4:11.89) in the 1500 meters and Mike Lewis (so. Glen Mills, PA/Downingtown W.) was fifth (4:12.27). Lewis had a 12 th place (2:06.47) in the 800 meters and Spector was 18th (2:11.28). Rubino finished seventh (19’ 9”, 6.02 meters) in the long jump.
Jason Jenkins (jr. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) was seventh (128’ 6”, 39.17 meters) in the discus while Billy Kelly (fr. Rio Grande, NJ/Middle Twp.) followed ninth (127’ 3”, 38.80 meters) and Corbin came in 12th (124’, 37.80 meters). Tyray Forte (fr. Plainfield, NJ/Plainfield) had a 10th place (52.58) in the 400 meters and he was 14th (23.60) in the 200 meters. Adam Ross (fr. Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) was 10th (16:27.54) in the 5000 meters and Raj Singh (so. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills) took 13th (16:40.42). Jameer Roberts (fr. Camden, NJ/Highland Reg.) took 13th (1:01.62) in the 400 meter hurdles. Dalton Trembow (fr. New Egypt, NJ/New Egypt) finished 14th (122’ 8”, 37.40 meters) in the discus and 16th (37’ 10.75”, 11.55 meters) in the shot put.
