Results

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Rowan University men’s track and field team competed at the Wake Forest Open on Friday.  The two-day meet includes teams from Division I, II and III and continues on Saturday at Wake Forest University.

Dave Quimby (so. Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) took fifth place (4:09.45) in the 1500 meters B section and Jesse Spector (so. Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) was seventh (4:09.72).  Steven Iafrate (jr. Closter, NJ/Demarest) finished 11th in the javelin with 185’ 3” (56.47 meters) and Joe Kelly (fr. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) was 15th (179’ 8”, 54.76 meters).  

Taylor Purdue (sr. Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Twp.) ran 48.97 in the 400 meters for 11th place.
Brandon Taylor (sr. Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown) finished 20th (11.14) in the prelims of the 100 meters, Marcus Rawls (jr. North Brunswick, NJ/Florence Twp. Mem.) came in 22nd (11.15) and Tyler Coulbourn (fr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) was 41st (11.37).

Glenn Kohles (fr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) took 17th in the shot put with a throw of 47’ 1” (14.35 meters).  Frank Rubino (fr. Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) came in 18th (40’ 9.5”, 12.43 meters) in the triple jump.  Mike Lewis (so. Glen Mills, PA/Downingtown W.) finished 24th (4:08.72) in the 1500 meters.  Ethan Wolmark (jr. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) had a 25th place (15:33.88) in the 5000 meters while Tim Dole (fr. Mantua, NJ/Clearview Reg.) and Jeff Tauriello (jr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) were 29th (15:40.04) and 35th (15:47.78) respectively.   

Josh McGriff (sr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) took 27th (50.40) in the 400 meters and Will Alston (sr. Matawan, NJ/Matawan Reg.) was 43rd (51.03).  Jon Sewnig (so. Yardville, NJ/Notre Dame) had a 15th place (4:11.59) in the 1500 meters B section.
