Women's Soccer Falls To The College of New Jersey, 1-0 In NJAC Semifinal Game

Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women's soccer team lost to The College of New Jersey, 1-0 in the semifinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Championship Tournament on Tuesday night.

TCNJ (16-2-1) plays at the top seed Montclair State University (18-0) on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m. in the championship game.  In the other semifinal, Montclair State defeated the fourth seed Richard Stockton College, 2-0.  The conference champion receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. 

Rowan (16-3) will have to wait until Monday, November 11 to see if the team receives an at-large bid to the national tournament.  The NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament bracket will be announced in the afternoon on Monday.

Forward Christine Levering (fr. Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) scored the game-winner at 81:03.  She blasted a shot from outside the box that went into the right side of the net.  It was her 10th goal on the season. 

The Profs' goalkeeper Carleigh Trivino (fr. Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) stopped 10 shots.  For the Lions, goalie Kendra Griffith (sr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) made six saves.
