GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University field hockey team won 2-0 over Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday night.
The Profs, ranked 13th, have a 12-4 record while the Ducks are 10-6 on the season. Rowan produced one goal in each half. Forward Karlee Henderson (so. Elmer, NJ/Woodstown) scored first at 7:26. She hit the lower left side of the Ducks’ cage with a pass from midfielder Marisa Marini (fr. Carneys Point, NJ/Padua Academy (DE)).
Forward Amy McKeever (jr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) registered the second goal at 43:30. She tapped in a rebound after forward Jenna O’Sullivan’s (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) shot was deflected by goalie Kaitlin McClymont (sr. Corpus Christi, TX/Flour Bluff).
The Profs totaled 11 shots while the Ducks had seven. Goalie Jen Goldberg (sr. Clark, NJ/Arthur L. Johnson) stopped three shots for the shutout. McClymont ended the game with three saves.
Next, Rowan travels to Kean University on Saturday, October 20 for a 1 p.m. conference game.
