DOVER, DE – Forward Lauren Ross scored two goals to lead Rowan University to a 3-1 victory over Wesley College on Thursday night.

Rowan improves to 6-4 overall, while Wesley has a 9-3 record. Ross (jr. Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester) put the Profs ahead, 1-0 at 19:23 in the first period. Wolverines’ forward Brooke Tadlock (jr. Middletown, DE/Middletown) tied the game (1-1) at 41:35 in the second. Midfielder Erin Bailey (sr. Rehoboth Beach, DE/Cape Henlopen) picked up the assist. Ross’ second goal (47:26) gave Rowan the lead for good. At 53:36, Profs’ midfielder Julie Cairone (so. Medford, NJ/Shawnee) added an insurance goal.

Rowan took 17 shots and Wesley had 13. Goalie Lisa Apt (so. Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) made six saves in the Profs’ cage. Wolverines’ goalie Sarah Johnson (jr. Honeybrook, PA/Twin Valley) stopped four shots.

On Saturday, October 10, Rowan travels to the The College of New Jersey for a 7:30 p.m. game.
