ST. MARY’S CITY, MD – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team lost both games of a tri-match held at St. Mary’s College (MD) on Saturday. St. Mary’s defeated Rowan, 3-0 in the first match and Rowan fell to Goucher College, 3-0 in the second.

Rowan has a 3-4 record. St. Mary’s improves to 4-1, while Goucher has a 1-4 mark. St. Mary’s won with set scores of 25-9, 25-11 and 25-18. Goucher took the match 25-18, 25-22 and 25-18.

Against St. Mary’s, middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) recorded six kills and five digs. Outside hitter Alexis Louie (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) tallied five kills and 11 digs. Liberto Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) posted 19 digs, while setter Chrissy McKay (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had 12 assists.

Versus Goucher, Louie compiled five kills, 12 digs and two service aces. Roselle added eight digs, while McKay contributed with seven assists and six digs.

Rowan hosts Albright College on Tuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m.
