MAHWAH, NJ – The Ramapo College women’s volleyball team defeated Rowan University, 3-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match on Tuesday night. The Roadrunners won 25-15, 25-18 and 25-22.

Middle blocker Kayla Anders (fr. Harrington Park, NJ/Old Tappan) led Ramapo with 16 kills and a .444 hitting percentage. Outside hitter Kimberly Runge (fr. Closter, NJ/Northern Valley-Demarest) compiled 18 digs. Setters Tiffany Fischer (fr. Woodcliff Lake, NJ/Pascack Hills) and Michele Del Valle (fr. Teaneck, NJ/Memorial) totaled 17 and 15 assists respectively.

For Rowan, middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) had five kills and outside hitter Krista Henderickson (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Summit) followed with four. Libero Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) contributed with 14 digs. Setter Chrissy McKay (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) had 18 assists and seven digs. Middle blocker Chelsea Bowman (jr. Penns Grove, NJ/Salem County Christian Academy) recorded three service aces.

Next Rowan is home on Thursday, September 25 against conference opponent Richard Stockton College at 7 p.m.
