YORK, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball lost its first two matches at the Spartan Invitational hosted by York College (PA). Rowan fell to Arcadia University, 3-2 and Lebanon Valley College, 3-0.

The set scores against Arcadia (5-5) were 25-16, 21-25, 17-25, 25-22 and 13-15. For Rowan, outside hitter Alexis Louie (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) posted 13 kills, 18 digs and two service aces. Middle blocker Jess Kelly (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) added seven kills and three assists, while middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) had six kills and three service aces. Defensive specialist Samantha Labriola (jr. Wallington, NJ/Wallington) contributed with 10 kills, two service aces and two assists.

Lebanon Valley (12-2), won with set scores of 25-18, 25-13 and 25-16. Louie recorded five kills, 10 digs and two service aces. Libero Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) compiled 16 digs and one ace.

The Spartan Invitational continues on Saturday, September 20. Rowan (4-7) will face Eastern University at 11 a.m.
