GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s soccer team rolled over Chestnut Hill College, 10-0 on Wednesday night.

Rowan improves to 4-0, while Chestnut Hill has a 3-2 record. The Profs were led by forward Michelle Carrocino (so. Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) with two goals and one assist. Midfielder Christine Foy (fr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) and forward Kate Harman (jr. Laurel Springs, NJ/Sterling) both found the net twice. Forward Dana Ross (so. Delran, NJ/Delran) recorded one goal and one assist. Forwards Jess Babice (so. Groveville, NJ/Steinert) and Evynn Wright (fr. Marlton, NJ/Eastern Reg.) and midfielder Krista Verzi (jr. Delran, NJ/Delran) added one goal apiece. Midfielder Nina Fragoso (fr. Franklinville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) contributed with two assists, while back Linda Sierra (fr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and forward Mandy Silvesti (jr. Turnersville, NJ/Washington Twp.) each had one.

The Profs out shot the Griffins, 35-4. Rowan goalkeeper Sarah Volkomer (jr. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) made one save in the first 67:10. Jillian Brannan (fr. Saddle Brook, NJ/Saddle Brook) played the last 22:50, stopping one shot. Chestnut Hill goalkeeper Kelly Evans (sr. Harriman, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) posted five saves in 36:38 before leaving the game with an injury. Caitlin Lafferty (so. Landenberg, PA/Padua Academy) was in net for the final 53:22 and turned away three shots.

Rowan travels to Green Mountain College (VT) on Friday, September 12 for a 4 p.m. contest.
