WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Rowan University’s Kyle Hayes finished fifth in the long jump at the Wake Forest Open on Saturday.

Hayes (fr. Pt. Pleasant, NJ/Pt. Pleasant Boro) recorded a jump of 23’ 4” (7.11 meters). His distance was better than the NCAA Division III provisional qualifier of 22’ 10” (6.96 meters).

Rowan travels to the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA for the Battleground Relays on Friday-Saturday, March 28-29. Friday’s events begin at 3 p.m. and competition starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
