PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The Rowan University men’s basketball team came back in the second half to win 96-83 over host Valley Forge Christian College in a nonconference game on Thursday night.
Guard Michael Farrow (fr. Whitesboro, NJ/Middle Twp.) led the Profs with a career-high 27 points off the bench. Farrow also totaled seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Forwards Dwayne Reevey (sr. Fair Haven, NJ/Rumson-Fair Haven) and Matt Byrnes (sr. Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) contributed with 19 points apiece. Guard Kevin Darby (jr. Atco, NJ/Hammonton) was in double figures with 11 points.
Rowan is 15-7 overall and Valley Forge Christian has a 19-10 record. The Profs trailed by 11 points (51-40) after the first half.
For the Patriots, guard Kevin Wilson scored 19 points. Forwards Nate Stoner and Steve Pierantozzi added 16 and 15 points respectively and guard James Fulton had 12. Pierantozzi grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
Rowan is back at home on Saturday, February 16 against conference opponent Rutgers-Camden at 1 p.m.
