BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rowan University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Paul Short Run on Friday. The meet was hosted by Lehigh University. The Rowan men took 10th place out of 41 teams, while the women were 15th out of 37 schools.

Eric Dubois (fr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) was the first Profs’ runner to cross the finish line. He completed the 8K course with a time of 26:48. Mike Rivera (sr. Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Old Tappan) came in 60th (27:19), followed by Kunal Sharma (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) 62nd (27:21). Andrew Vasta (sr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) and Dan Ratty (sr. Tenafly, NJ/Tenafly) rounded out the scoring in 70th (27:30) and 96th place (27:47) respectively.

For the women, Jena Peacock (fr. Williamstown, NJ/Our Lady of Mercy Academy) took 38th with a time of 23:06 over the 6K course. Angela Patane (sr. Monroeville, NJ/Delsea Reg.) finished 99th (24:20). Lisa Jones (jr. Mays Landing, NJ/Oakcrest) was 104th (24:24) followed by Raneeka Doharty (fr. Orange, NJ/Orange) 105th (24:26). Eileen O’Mara (fr. Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Twp.) captured 109th place in 24:29.

Rowan travels to the DeSales University Invitational in Center Valley, PA on Saturday, October 11. The women’s race begins at 9:30 a.m. and men’s race starts at 10:30 a.m.
