GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team blanked Kean University, 3-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Tuesday. Rowan won with set scores of 25-10, 25-22 and 25-5.

The Profs improve to 13-16 overall and 5-3 in the conference. The Cougars have a 7-16 record and a 1-7 NJAC mark.

Rowan was led by outside hitter Alexis Louie (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) with nine kills, 19 digs and two service aces. Middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) followed with seven kills, while middle blocker Chelsea Bowman (jr. Penns Grove, NJ/Salem County Christian Academy) had six. Pecoraro also had three blocks. Setter Chrissy McKay (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) accumulated 23 assists and libero Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) registered 16 digs.

For Kean, middle blocker Stefanie Santiago (fr. Bayonne, NJ/Bayonne) totaled five kills, seven digs and two service aces. Libero Mary Aldana (fr. Jersey City, NJ/Saint Dominic Academy) compiled 19 digs, while outside hitter Jamie Sacco (fr. Park Ridge, NJ/Park Ridge) had 13.

Rowan travels to Stevenson University for a quad-match on Saturday, November 1. The Profs play Penn State Berks at 10 a.m., Stevenson at noon and John Jay College at 3 p.m. Kean hosts Delaware Valley College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
