ITHACA, NY – The Rowan University men’s soccer team stunned host Ithaca College, 1-0 on Saturday afternoon. Midfielder Mike Pascale scored the game winning goal.

Pascale (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) hit the Bombers’ net at 3:49 with an assist from forward Jay Vigilante (sr. Manasquan, NJ/Wall). It was Pascale’s second goal of the season. Vigilante leads the team in assists with five.

Rowan has a record of 4-7-3 while Ithaca is 7-2-1 overall. This week, the Bombers are ranked fifth in the Northeast Region. Goalie Charlie Cunliffe (so. Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) stopped six shots for the Profs. Goalkeeper Andy Wilhelm (sr. Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) made three saves for the Bombers. Ithaca totaled 18 shots while Rowan took 10.

Rowan plays at Marywood University (PA) on Sunday, October 12 at 1 p.m.
