Field Hockey Wins 3-0 over Catholic

WASHINGTON, DC – The Rowan University field hockey team won 3-0 at Catholic University on Monday afternoon.
 
Forwards Amanda Greene (jr. Thorofare, NJ/Gloucester City) and Danielle Miranda (sr. Flanders, NJ/Mount Olive) and back Kimberly Brozosky (jr. Richwood, NJ/Clearview Reg.) each scored once.
 
Greene gave Rowan a 1-0 lead at 12:35 with her first goal of the year. In the second half, Miranda knocked in a rebound at 52:22 and Brozosky found the net at 58:04.
 
Rowan outshot Catholic, 26-7. Prof goalie Amanda Cucinotti (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) made four saves for the shutout. For Catholic, Marian Cassilly (so. Gambrills, MD/Archbishop Spalding) turned away 15 shots. Both teams are 1-1 on the season.  

Rowan is back at home against Haverford College on Saturday, September 8 at 1 p.m.
