Profs Compete At Lions' Last Chance Qualifier

EWING, NJ – The Rowan University men and women’s outdoor track and field teams competed at the Lions’ Last Chance Qualifier hosted by The College of New Jersey on Thursday.
 
Tim Bowser (sr. Millville, NJ/Millville) won the high jump with a season-best 6’9.75” (2.08 meters). He improved on his NCAA provisional of 6’8” (2.03 meters) that he set at the Collegiate Track Conference Championships (Apr. 22). Aaron Braxton (so. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) took second in the shot put (50’10.75”, 15.51 meters) and the discus (161’1.5”, 49.11 meters). Sean Corey (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) came in second in the javelin with a throw of 185’8” (56.60 meters).
 
Bryan Pittman (sr. New Brunswick, NJ/New Brunswick) finished second in the 100 meters in 10.95. Joseph Minch (sr. Yardville, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) was fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:56.59.
 
Dannielle Warren (so. Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) came in fourth in the long jump with a distance of 17’8.5” (5.40 meters). Chereyse Hepburn (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Oakcrest) had a fourth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles in 15.26.
