PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rowan University throwers placed in the discus, shot put and javelin at the University of Pennsylvania Invitational on Saturday.
Aaron Braxton (so. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) won the discus with a throw of 163’ 5” (49.82 meters). He also took second place in the shot put with 49’ 9” (15.16 meters). In the javelin, Sean Corey (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) had a first place with 183’ 9” (56.01 meters) followed by Sean Biehn (fr. Edgewater Park, NJ/Burlington City) second with 182’ (55.48 meters).
The women only had two competitors at the invitational. Chereyse Hepburn (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Oakcrest) finished ninth in the 100 meter hurdles in 16.13. Dannielle Warren (so. Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) was 12th in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.88.
Next week, the Profs will host the Rowan Open on Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m.
