Braxton Finishes 13th In Shot Put At ECAC Championships

MIDDLETOWN, CT– Rowan University’s Aaron Braxton competed in the shot put at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track Championships on Friday night at Wesleyan University.

Braxton (so. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) tied for 13th place with a throw of 45’ 3.75” (13.81 meters). The shot put was won by SUNY Brockport’s Josh Dupuis with 53” 8.25” (16.36 meters).

Earlier this season, Braxton recorded a NCAA provisional in the shot put with 54’ 7.50” (16.65 meters). His throw is the fourth best in Division III this season. The NCAA provisional mark is 51’ 0” (15.54 meters).

Braxton’s next competition is at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, Friday-Saturday, March 9-10 at Rose-Hulman Institute in Terra Haute, IN.
