HOUSTON, TX – Rowan University’s Bryan Carlisle, Jeff Brinberg and Kevin Baker earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The nationals were held (March 15-17) at the University of Houston Recreational Fitness and Wellness Center.

On the last day (March 17), Carlisle (so. Somers Point, NJ/Mainland Reg.) and Brinberg (sr. Ventnor, NJ/Atlantic City) finished fifth and sixth respectively in the three meter diving for All-America honors. Carlisle totaled 463.10 points in the finals while Brinberg (sr. Ventnor, NJ/Atlantic City) had 444.60. In the morning, Carlisle ended the prelims with 445.80 points and Brinberg had 434.20. There were 22 divers in the prelims with the top eight advancing to the finals. The first round of the three meter competition was held on March 16. Carlisle was in first place (280.80 points) after the first round and Brinberg was seventh (254.85 points).

On Saturday, Kevin Baker (jr. Landing, NJ/Roxbury) took 10th place in the 200 breaststroke for All-America honorable mention. Baker had a time of 2:04.43. In the preliminaries, he finished in 2:05.19 to advance to the consolation finals. Baker swam in the 100 breaststroke on Friday and finished 25th with a career best time of 58.56.

On Thursday, Brinberg took seventh place in the one meter diving with 398.05 points for All-America honors. The top eight finishers are All-Americans. Carlisle came in 13th place with 397.55 points in the prelims for All-America honorable mention. Baker competed in the 50 freestyle and was 44th with a time of 22.14.

In the team scoring, Rowan finished 22nd with 50 points. The Profs ended the regular season with a 6-3 record. Rowan took first place at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational and was second at the Metropolitan Championships.
