NEW YORK, NY – The Rowan University men’s and women’s indoor track teams competed at the New York University Fast Track on Friday night. The meet was held at the Armory in New York City.
Aaron Braxton (so. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) finished second in the shot put with a toss of 53’ 2.75” (16.22 meters). His throw was another NCAA provisional (51’ 0”, 15.54 meters). His best provisional this season was 54’ 7.5” (16.65 meters).
In the triple jump, Nehemiah Burney-Porter (fr. Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) took seventh place with a distance of 41’ 9.25” (12.73 meters). Nick Tyson (jr. Mt. Holly, NJ/Lenape) was 12th in the pole vault with 12’ 9.5” (3.90 meters). Joe Minch (sr. Yardville, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) was 19th in the 1,000 meters in 2:34.97.
Cheresye Hepburn (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Oakcrest) finished eighth in the 60 meter hurdles (10.48). Dannielle Warren (so. Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) took 12th in the long jump with 16’ 8.75” (5.10 meters). Ali Briggs (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) came in 13th in the shot put with a toss of 34’ 8.25” (10.57 meters).
