GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team defeated Albright College, 3-0 and Gwynedd-Mercy College, 3-2 in a tri-match held at Gwynedd-Mercy on Saturday.

The Profs have won six straight matches to improve to 8-7. Against Albright, Rowan won with games scores of 30-21, 30-26 and 31-29. Outside hitter Siobahn Young (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) led the way with 23 kills, 10 digs and one service ace. Setter Chrissy McKay (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) contributed with 40 assists and four kills. Defensive specialist Casey Roselle (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) added 14 digs.

Versus Gwynedd-Mercy, outside hitter Alexis Louie (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) totaled 20 kills, eight digs, seven service aces and two blocks. Middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) posted 10 kills, five blocks and two aces. Young had 16 kills, 10 digs and four blocks. Rowan won with game scores of 30-23, 29-31, 30-19, 23-30 and 15-8.

Rowan travels to Philadelphia Biblical University on Tuesday, October 9 at 7 p.m.
