GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men’s soccer team defeated Wilkes University, 1-0 in a non-conference game on Wednesday night.

With the win, the Profs improve to 6-5-1, while the Colonels have a 5-5-1 record. Rowan’s goal came at 53:47 when midfielder Kyle Clugston (fr. Hamilton, NJ/Notre Dame) headed in a corner from midfielder Dan Arnold (so. Sicklerville, NJ/St. Augustine Prep).

Wilkes took 21 shots and Rowan had 17. Goalkeeper Dave Schindewolf (fr. Robbinsville, NJ/Lawrence) made 16 saves for the Profs. It was his first career shutout. Colonels’ goalie TJ Baloga (sr. Wilkes-Barre, PA/Coughlin) turned away eight shots.

Rowan hosts Wilmington College on Monday, October 8 at 7 p.m.
