Field Hockey Wins 4-1 at Conference Opponent Ramapo College

MAHWAH, NJ – Four different players each scored once in Rowan University’s 4-1 conference win against Ramapo College on Sunday afternoon.

Rowan is 13-4 overall and 4-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Profs are ranked 11th in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Coaches Poll. Ramapo College has a 6-10 record with a 1-4 conference mark.

Forward Rachel Cheafsky (sr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) scored Rowan’s first goal at 9:12. In the second half, forward Amanda Greene (jr. Thorofare, NJ/Gloucester City) made it 2-0 at 40:48 with an assist from midfielder Susan Massara (sr. Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton). Five minutes later, back Kimberly Brozosky (jr. Richwood, NJ/Clearview Reg.) had the third goal. Forward Danielle Miranda (sr. Flanders, NJ/Mount Olive) hit the net for the Profs’ final goal at the 53 minute mark.

Ramapo forward Ashley Zimmerman (jr. North Plainfield, NJ/North Plainfield) spoiled the shutout at 65:31. Rowan totaled 15 shots while Ramapo took four. For the Profs, goalie Amanda Cucinotti (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) had two saves. In the Roadrunners’ net, goalies Megan Tierney (so. Wayne, NJ/Wayne Hills) and Diana Silva (fr. Howell, NJ/Howell) made six and two saves respectively.

This week, Rowan hosts Kean University in the final game of the regular season on Saturday, November 3 at 1 p.m.
