Women's Volleyball Drops Two Matches At Crusader Classic

SELINSGROVE, PA – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team lost two matches at the Crusader Classic on Friday. Catholic University defeated Rowan, 3-0 while host Susquehanna University won 3-1.

Catholic had game scores of 30-13, 30-22 and 30-20. For the Profs, outside hitter Siobahn Young (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) totaled 10 kills, one service ace and five digs. Outside hitter Alexis Louie (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) contributed with five kills, two aces and seven digs. Setter Chrissy McKay (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) compiled 12 assists, two kills and one block.

Against Susquehanna, Young and Louie recorded 16 and 15 kills respectively. Louie also had 13 digs and three service aces. Young added five digs and an ace. Libero Casey Roselle (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) had 12 digs and McKay posted 39 assists. Outside hitter Jessica Kelly (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) had three blocks. The Crusaders won 30-27, 27-30, 30-19 and 30-17.

At the classic on Saturday, Rowan (9-12) plays York College (PA) at noon and Richard Stockton College at 2 p.m.
