Field Hockey Blanks Host Susquehanna, 4-0

SELINSGROVE, PA – Forward Amanda Greene scored two goals to lead the Rowan University field hockey team over host Susquehanna University, 4-0 on Thursday evening.

Rowan is 9-4 overall and ranked 11th in this week’s National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll. Susquehanna drops to 6-10 on the season.

Rowan had a 1-0 lead after the first half. Greene’s (jr. Thorofare, NJ/Gloucester City) first goal was unassisted at 29:05. Forward Danielle Miranda (sr. Flanders, NJ/Mount Olive) made it 2-0, 29 seconds into the second half. Greene had her second goal at 58:11 on a pass from back Erin Tideman (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.). At 66:39, forward Brielle Moreno (fr. Erial, NJ/Camden Catholic) hit the net for the final goal and Miranda picked up an assist.

Rowan totaled 28 shots while Susquehanna had 10. In the Profs’ net, Amanda Cucinotti (sr. Voorhees, NJ/Cherry Hill E.) stopped seven shots for her third shutout of the year. For the Crusaders, goalie Lyndsay Meabon made 10 saves.

Rowan plays at home on Saturday, October 20 against conference opponent Richard Stockton College at noon.
