GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University women’s volleyball team defeated Ursinus College, 3-1 in a non-conference match on Friday night.

With the win, Rowan improves to 9-9, while Ursinus has a 5-14 record. The Profs won with game scores of 30-25, 30-20, 21-30 and 30-12.

Outside hitter Alexis Louie (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) totaled 23 kills and 19 digs for the Profs. Outside hitter Siobahn Young (fr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) contributed 13 kills and 23 digs, while middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) had 14 kills and 12 digs. Defensive specialists Casey Roselle (fr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) and Kacey Gee (fr. Middletown, DE/Caravel Academy) posted 23 and 20 digs respectively. Setter Chrissy McKay (so. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) compiled 45 assists and 15 digs.

For the Bears, outside hitter Jill Alspach (sr. Farmington Hills, MI/Farmington) had 18 kills and 29 digs. Outside hitter Mary Kate Wilmoth (fr. Wilmington, DE/St. Mark’s) followed with 12 kills and 16 digs. Outside hitter Gabrielle Galleo (fr. Reading, PA/Spring Ford) and defensive specialist Megan Mowrer (so. Columbia, PA/Columbia Borough) each had 20 digs. Setter Jennifer Fargo (so. Secaucus, NJ/Lacordire Academy) added 28 assists and 19 digs.
