GLASSBORO, NJ – Forward Jenna Balestriere scored the game-winner to give the Rowan University women’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Wednesday night.

Back Megan Bry (so. Gibbsboro, NJ/Eastern Reg.) served the ball and midfielder Kerry Little (sr. Freehold, NJ/Freehold Boro) headed it to Balestriere (jr. Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood). Balestriere headed the pass into the back of the net with 3:16 remaining.

Rowan out shot Ramapo, 19-9. Goalkeeper Sarah Volkomer (so. Glen Rock, NJ/Glen Rock) made four saves for her second shutout of the season. Goalie Jessica DaRold (so. Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville War Mem.) turned away four shots for the Roadrunners.

Rowan (11-2, NJAC 4-1) travels to Rutgers-Newark for a NJAC contest on Saturday, October 13 at 7 p.m. Ramapo (9-5-1, NJAC 3-2-1) hosts Richard Stockton College on Saturday at 1 p.m.
