MAHWAH, NJ – Forward Tom Gannon scored the game-winning goal in overtime to give the Rowan University men’s soccer team a 1-0 win over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game on Wednesday night.

Win the victory, Rowan improves to 8-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the conference. Ramapo has a 9-2-1 overall record and a 2-2-1 NJAC mark. Gannon (sr. Toms River, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) broke the scoreless tie with an unassisted goal just over four minutes into the first sudden victory overtime.

Rowan took 14 shots, while Ramapo had 12. Goalkeeper Kevin Nuss (sr. Swedesboro, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) made six saves for the Profs.  It was his second shutout of the season.  Ian Tighe (so. Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) turned away eight shots in the Roadrunners’ net.

Rowan hosts Rutgers-Newark in a NJAC contest on Saturday, October 13 at 7 p.m.
