GLASSBORO, NJ – The Philadelphia University women’s volleyball team recorded a 3-0 win over host Rowan University on Wednesday.

Philadelphia (4-1) had game scores of 30-16, 30-14 and 30-23. Middle hitter Molly Malone (so. Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) had a team high 10 kills and five blocks. Outside hitter Emily Krauss (jr. Stormville, NY/Carmel) followed with nine kills and five service aces. Outside hitter Cassandra Peck (jr. Center Valley, PA/Southern Lehigh) and defensive specialist Cindy Adams (fr. Fleetwood, PA/Fleetwood Area) each posted 10 digs, while setter Kristin Goede (sr. Westborough, MA/Westborough) had 23 assists.

For Rowan (0-5), outside hitter Alexis Louie (so. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) recorded six kills. Outside hitter Karen Ramirez (fr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) had five kills and seven digs. Setter Chrissy McKay (fr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) contributed seven digs, 11 assists and four blocks.

Rowan will travel to Bryn Mawr College on Saturday, September 9 for a quad-match. Rowan will play Immaculata University at 10 a.m., Bryn Mawr at 12:30 p.m. and Chestnut Hill College at 2:30 p.m.
