POMONA, NJ – Forward Brett Ferron scored the winning goal for Richard Stockton College in a 3-2 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) win over visiting Rowan University.

Ferron recorded the game winner with 2:32 remaining in the second half. The goal was assisted by midfielder Brad Westcott (sr. Newfield, NJ/Buena Reg.).

Richard Stockton is 8-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the NJAC. Rowan is 6-4-1 on the season with a 0-3-1 conference mark. This week in the Metro Region rankings, the Ospreys are fifth while the Profs are number nine.

Both of the Profs’ goals were scored by forward Matt Flynn (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.). Flynn had the first goal of the game at 5:32. Forward Sean McCallum (fr. Vineland, NJ/Vineland) tied it at 22:48 with an assist from midfielder Mike Holmes (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River N.).

In the second half, Stockton went ahead at 49:16 with an unassisted goal by midfielder Domenick Raimo (jr. Delran, NJ/Delran). Flynn’s second score tied the game at two. He had the goal at 81:20 with a feed from midfielder Nik Golden (sr. Crosswicks, NJ/Northern Burlington).

Richard Stockton took nine shots and Rowan had eight. In the Ospreys’ net, goalie Matt Hart (so. Dayton, NJ/South Brunswick) made six saves. For the Profs, goalie Brian Lloyd (sr. Swainton, NJ/Middle Twp.) stopped five shots.

Rowan is back hom e on Satuday, September 30 against William Paterson University at 7 p.m.
