GLASSBORO, NJ – Seven different players scored for Rowan University in a 7-3 victory over Immaculata University on Wednesday.

Forward Sean Docherty (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) got Rowan on the scoreboard at 4:43 in the first half. At 15:23, forward Matt Flynn (so. Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Reg.) put back a rebound off of a shot by midfielder Dan Arnold (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/St. Augustine Prep) to make the score 2-0. Immaculata answered with two straight goals to tie the game. Midfielder Ryan Roberts (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/St. Joseph) chipped in a pass from back Bryan Foster (so. Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) at 29:23. Four minutes later, forward Patrick Egan (fr. Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) found the net on a breakaway assisted by Roberts.

In the second half, Rowan forward Robert McMullen (sr. Barrington, NJ/Northern Burlington) knocked in a through ball from back Eric Campesi (so. Toms River, NJ/Toms River E.) to give the Profs a 3-2 advantage. Back Tom Gannon (jr. Toms River, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) scored off a throw in by midfielder Peter Malkmus (jr. Brick, NJ/Brick Mem.) at 58:31 and 50 second later, Malkmus headed in a pass from McMullen. Forward Jay Vigilante (so. Manasquan, NJ/Wall) found the net from 30 yards out to give Rowan a 6-2 lead. Immaculata midfielder Alan Lorentz (so. Glen Mills, PA/Upper Darby) converted on a penalty kick for the Mighty Macs’ final goal. Rowan forward Brian Kedash (fr. Newton, NJ/Newton) headed in a cross from forward Sean Goldsworthy (jr. Hackettstown, NJ/West Morris Central) at 85:24 to end the scoring.

Rowan outshot Immaculata, 27-9. Goalie Anthony Clemente (sr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) stopped three shots in the first 25:12 for the Profs. Brian Lloyd (sr. Swainton, NJ/Middle Twp.) made two saves in the final 64:48 for his first win of the year. Goalie Stone Gahagan (fr. Kintersville, PA/Wyoming Seminary) stopped 12 shots for the Mighty Macs.

Rowan (5-1) travels to Montclair State University on Saturday, September 16 at 1 p.m. and Immaculata (1-3) hosts Eastern University at 1 p.m.
